Painting plein air is always something special because you're right in the middle of it. Right in the middle of the perspective, right in the middle of the composition, right in the middle of the colors...

In 2022, Ireland was the destination of my watercolor tour. Again with Wilhelm Fikisz and a small group. We painted in the Ring of Kerry and Clare, including Dingle, Valentia Island, Ladies' View, and the Cliffs of Moher. Ireland is pure nature, pristine and wild, with wonderfully hospitable people. A delight for all the senses and a source of inspiration for many more painting ideas.

In 2018, I had the opportunity to paint in Hong Kong with a German-Swiss group led by the renowned Austrian watercolorist Wilhelm Fikisz. Summarizing Hong Kong in a few words is almost impossible. The colors remain unforgettable; the people who live their days with a somewhat more mindful approach than we are used to; the duality of old and new; the unique motifs that accompany me to this day.
