Exhibition "Watercolor and Photography in Dialogue"
Sörup 02.09.2022
Today at 6:00 p.m. the exhibition "Watercolor and Photography in Dialogue" by Stephanie and Thomas Hartstang will be officially opened at Kunstraum Sörup.
What happens when a passionate photographer in the field of landscape and urban photography and an artist of expressive watercolor painting come together?
You work in a team!
This means that the same motif is both interpreted photographically and depicted pictorially in watercolor, resulting in an exciting dialogue between the photographer's perspective and the painter's eye.
A dialogue that shows how individual seeing and feeling are, how emotions and personal experiences find their artistic expression in photography and paintings, that reality is not clear-cut but always allows for interpretation.
The exhibition focuses on this dialogue; but we also see independent works by Stephanie and Thomas.
Enjoy watching!
Opening: on 02.09.2022, 18:00
Opening hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Kunstraum Sörup (Schleswiger Str. 1 in
24966 Sörup).

As guest artist at Karin Hansen's summer exhibition
Scheersberg, June 12, 2022 / Stephanie
A wonderful day for me—and not just because of the perfect weather. I've been invited as a guest artist to Karin Hansen's summer exhibition in her beautiful gardens. In addition to Karin's wonderful works, many of which are based on old canvas, my tree watercolors are a real eye-catcher for many visitors, especially in this setting. And for me, presenting my paintings publicly is an important and very positive experience.

My personal top 10 from 2021
Hasselberg In January 2022 / Thomas
2021 was still dominated by the pandemic, but I was still able to take some photographs that I'm a little proud of. The feedback I received, especially from Stephanie, but also from others, was important to me, especially when it was critical.
Watch the short video, I hope you like it 😃
