"Schleswig - painted and photographed"

The concept we developed, "In Dialogue – Painted and Photographed," has been exhibited several times in the "Real North," most recently at the Levantehaus Hamburg and the Hamburger Kunstgalerie. Its core is the realization of a subject in watercolor or acrylic mixed media on the one hand, and as a photograph on the other.

The selection of a motif is followed by its design in an intensive dialogue: perspective, image design, and color composition, among other things, are varied, thus individually interpreting and even alienating the reality of the motif. For Schleswig, we have come up with something special:
Stephanie searched for motifs and created her images, only then did Thomas grab his camera equipment and shoot the corresponding photos. The result: 13 dialogue pairs with motifs from Schleswig and the surrounding region. Independent works will also be on display: photographs, watercolors, mixed media works, and oil paintings.
Our exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the "Stall" of the Schleswig City Museum (Friedrichstraße 9 - 11 in 24837 Schleswig).
