About this work

April 2024. Some of Europe's most renowned landscape photographers (Isabella Tabacchi, Kilian Schönberger, Nestor Rodan, Thomas Heaton, ...) met on the northern Spanish coast to photograph together as part of the "Photothek 2024" and to share their knowledge with other "photo nerds."

I had actually already traveled on to Bilbao after the photo week ended, but Torimbia Bay was still on my mind. When we were there during the week, the tides and light weren't quite right. But maybe a few days later? I thought about it, tried to calculate the situation—and traveled the nearly 200 km specifically for this photo. And then, to top it all off, a "beachcomber" was taking his evening stroll in exactly the right spot—PERFECT!
