About this work

The Schlei Bridge near Lindaunis is a truly astonishing structure, allowing pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, as well as cars and trucks, and, last but not least, rail traffic to use the bridge in both directions. If only it would function again. After almost 100 years, renovation was urgently needed. I was able to take this photo shortly before construction began, as the bridge was already closed to traffic. In the meantime—after more than three years of closure—construction work hasn't really progressed. New problems keep arising...
