About this work

November 2024. One sailboat, four women, three men, and a two-man crew: from Tromsø toward the Atlantic, then to see and photograph whales, orcas, and the Northern Lights. That's the plan.

A moderate hurricane pressure stranded us on the island of Spildra. Spildra does have a small harbor and a café—surprising considering its population of 18. On our "shore excursions," we were able to not only enjoy wonderful apple pie with cappuccino, but also take a few photos. Unfortunately, no high-quality shots of whales or orca families.
