About this work
The Schleimünde lighthouse in a "historical" photograph from May 3, 2023. The group of trees on the left was always a useful landmark for sailors heading south from the Flensburg Fjord, indicating the location of Schleimünde. However, the storm surge in October 2023 not only severely damaged the entrance but also destroyed this group of trees.
From our sales of this photograph and the 2024 East Coast calendar, which featured the image on its cover, we were able to provide a four-figure sum to the lighthouse owners' association for renovation.
