Vestrahorn and Vesturhorn are among Iceland's "iconic" mountains, and rightly so, and not just because they're relatively easy to reach via the Ring Road. Their formation certainly has a very special appeal, especially since they lie directly on the Atlantic Ocean.
As the tide goes out, the sand is wonderfully smooth and forms a great contrast to the "wrinkled" mountains.
